I would like to thank everyone who sent very kind thoughts across wishing me all the finest for my birthday last week.

It was a wonderful run of shows at The Rigger weekend with Kirk Brandon and on the 28th at Aggies with Robin Sunflower and the whole gang of performers there. It was a special time indeed and has kicked off 2025 in very fine style.

I hope to see you all out on the road in the coming months and hope to have some good news on the recording front very soon.

January 2025 - kirk brandon with special guest dave sharp sold out.

Kirk Brandon with special guest Dave Sharp at The Rigger on Saturday 25th January is now sold out.

A second show has been added on Sunday 26th January with an early showtime of 4pm. The early start time should help folks make Sunday night journey plans back home after-show.

The weekend show at The Rigger with Kirk Brandon will mark Daves first show of 2025. There will be an appearance at Traders in Marple with Robin Sunflower to follow on Tuesday 28th of January.

January 2025 - update 2025 show news update 2025 show news update

From all of us here at davesharp.org we would like to wish you the very best for a wonderful year ahead in 2025.

To get things underway, Dave will be performing as very special guest alongside Kirk Brandon on the 25th of January at The Rigger in Newcastle Under Lyme.

Proceeds from the show will go towards badly needed repairs to the building following damage suffered during recent stormy weather.

Dave will celebrate his birthday on 28th January and will once again be special guest with Robin Sunflower at Traders in Marple.

During October and November late last year work continued in the recording studio on Daves new album which now has a provisional release scheduled for Easter 2025. We hear the record will contain a collection of Daves favourite songs from the past 30 years of his shows on the road. More information will be available during the coming months.

Dave Sharp and Eddie Macdonald will be joining forces once again to share the bill at the Pizza Express Live venue in London this weekend Saturday 23rd November.

There are still a few tickets left for the show. If you are planning to attend the event this is a reminder to book this week to be sure of a good spot at the show. To book tickets go to the Dave Sharp Facebook page and follow the link.

Doors will be at 5.45pm for folks who have booked a place for the early show, with doors for standard ticket holders opening at 6.30pm.

As I write this I am on the road, heading south to Devon for a return visit to Exmouth for a show at one of my favourite venues, the wonderful and intimate, Bicton Inn.

What makes this trip a little different is that we all stand on the brink of a precipice which could easily result in the demise of a continent and may well result in an irreversibly altered Western World.

I have been watching and keenly following events as they have been unfolding and I am sending my heartfelt appreciation, for everyone in the United States, who have energised themselves to get out the vote and have, each and everyone, made an outstanding effort to join the early voting lines in record numbers.

I sincerely hope that around the world we shall all wake up to good news on November 6th and have every good cause to celebrate our continued freedoms and democracy.

However it all turns out on Wednesday morning, as ever, I say, Travel safe, take it easy, but take it.
