We are very excited to announce the 6 track dave sharp pre album release Songbook EP will very shortly be available.

The Songbook album pre release Ep was available to folks who were able to attend the Garage shows over the August Bank Holiday in London. Folks who were unable to attend the shows will shortly be able to find the Ep available online.

This special pre release EP features 6 new studio tracks taken from the forthcoming Dave Sharp new Songbook album which features musicians from Manchester, Liverpool and Inverness.

Details with how to find the EP will be announced next week on the Dave Sharp web site and Facebook pages.

Following an amazing weekend of music at The Garage, Dave Sharp has spoken with us with a huge message of thanks for everyone.

Dave Sharp says,

I would like to thank everyone for an outstanding weekend at the Garage shows.

It was a fantastic experience to be able to be onstage with Eddie and Nigel and to once again share the music and energy of the Alarm with you all on both shows.

It was truly an amazing weekend. I would like to thank everyone who made it possible, The Alarm, The Hard Travellers, Alarm 2.0, the whole production staff and crew and most of all yourselves who brought a wonderful and magical energy to both nights.

It was truly an amazing experience. I could feel the spirit of Mike Peters smiling down at us as Eddie, Nigel, Myself, Rob Latimer and Dave Blackman sent the music out to everyone in the room. Thank you all.

I would like to send out a huge thanks to everyone who took part on both nights in the Photo-Poster raffle. I am very grateful and pleased to announce that you all raised one thousand, seven hundred and ninety pounds for the Love Hope and Strength Foundation. The funds raised have gone directly to The Christy Cancer Hospital where Mike received his treatment from 2024.

Dave Sharp writes,

After the brilliant rehearsal sessions with my brothers Eddie Macdonald and Nigel Twist its very exciting to be finally on the way to London for our weekend of shows at The Garage.

The music is sounding very strong with our guest vocalist Rob Latimer and we have all had a great experience getting into the songs again. I am sure the spirit of Mike Peters will be in the house with us when we take the stage tonight.

Im currently headed south to The Garage with The Hard Travellers and were all are looking forwards to an excellent show tonight especially being able to bring you the Pre Release EP, from the new Songbook album.

The web team would like to remind everyone that there will be two framed poster sized photo posters available through a raffle, the proceeds from which will be going to the Love Hope and Strength Foundation to help raise cancer awareness.

We remind you also that unfortunately we will not be able to process cards for raffle tickets and discs. We can accept cash only.

With the Alarm shows about to take place this coming weekend, we have stop press news of the new Dave Sharp album, Songbook, being made available in a special pre-release 6 track Ep format.

Dave Sharp says,

I wanted to record a collection of songs that have greatly influenced me through my days of travelling, touring and playing live. In the studio the album began to take on the form of the kind of songbook albums that have been recently been released out there. It started to take on the life of an up to date diary of songs that have become part of how I see the contemporary music culture. I decided to simply call it, Songbook !

This special pre-release Ep contains 6 tracks from the forthcoming Dave Sharp 10 track Songbook album and will be priced at 10 pounds, exclusively available at both the Alarm Garage weekend Saturday and Sunday shows.

We remind everyone that cash only can be accepted for CDs and photo-poster raffle tickets. Unfortunately we are not able to process cards.

Dave speaks,

Hi Everyone,

Am excited to be writing this on the way south to Horley to meet up with my good brothers Eddie Macdonald and Nigel Twist for the first time since too long to remember for what is sure to be a wonderful and memorable few days of rehearsals.

Its been amazing getting back with Alarm music and readying up for next week at The Garage in London.

It will be a fantastic experience to be onstage with Eddie and Nigel again to share the music we made together with each and every one of you.

On other fronts there is more news of the Love Hope and Strength Photo-picture raffle..

The picture sizes are 36 inches by 30 inches for the black and white Cutting Edge picture and 36 inches by 30 inches for the colour picture.

Tickets for the raffle will be priced at 10 pounds for 3 tickets and 20 pounds for 7 tickets.

We remind everyone that tickets will be cash only, we are unable to accept card payments.

All proceeds will be donated to the Love Hope & Strength foundation.

With the band now in rehearsals the Garage shows next weekend are sure to be a wonderful experience for everyone.

As the Alarm August shows draw ever closer we spoke briefly with Dave Sharp as he was preparing for band rehearsals at their facility on the outskirts of London.

Dave Sharp,

I am excited to be headed south for my trip down to London for our August shows at The Garage.

It will be a wonderful experience to be able to share a stage again with my good friends Eddie Macdonald and Nigel Twist, especially knowing the spirit of our late brother Mike Peters will be present in the room with us. I am certain it will be a very emotional weekend of music at The Garage for ourselves and for all the fine folks who will be sharing the shows with us

The weekends music on August 29th and 30th will consist of appearances by Eddie Macdonald, who will perform Alarm material with his band Alarm 2.0. Dave Sharp and The Hard Travellers will take the stage performing material from Daves new Songbook album along with music from his first IRS Records solo album release Hard travellin.

Dave, Eddie and Nigel Twist will take the stage together both nights at 8.30pm with very special guest artist Rob Latimer to deliver what will surely be a truly memorable set of Alarm songs, celebrating the spirit of the Alarm and paying tribute to their sadly departed and much missed lead singer Mike Peters.

We have received unconfirmed news that there may be a special Pre Release EP version of Dave Sharps new Songbook album available very soon, we will bring more news of this as it becomes available.

There is updated news of the Alarm photo-posters. The two amazingly high resolution, framed and enlarged poster sized photos will be raffled one each evening with entire funds raised to be donated to the Love Hope and Strength Foundation founded by Mike and Jules Peters.

Tickets for the Photo-Poster raffle will be priced ten pounds each with special prices for multiple ticket buys.

We are advising everyone that tickets will be available as cash only, cards will not be able to be accepted. Raffle draw times will be announced each evening.

Following a resoundingly successful Dave Sharp appearance with the Hard Travellers at the Rebellion Festival Dave turns his attention to the long awaited Alarm shows on Sat 29th and Sun 30th August.

The August bank holiday weekend shows will feature performances from Eddie Macdonalds Alarm 2.0, Dave Sharps new band The Hard Travellers and the three Alarm founder members performing together with very special guest lead vocalist Rob Latimer.

During the weekend there will be candid interviews with the band and opportunities to meet, greet and chat with band members.

To mark the special nature of these shows Dave Sharp has generously donated two stunning, professionally framed and mounted photographs of The Alarm, dating from around circa.1983, which will be on display throughout the weekend and included in a raffle at both the Saturday and Sunday shows.

One is a rare Cutting Edge show photograph, capturing the band at a pivotal moment in their early career, whilst the other is a striking studio portrait. One photograph is in full colour and the other is black and white, both specially framed and presented in an impressive poster-sized format.
These are genuine, high-quality collectors pieces that rarely become available and would make a spectacular addition to any music memorabilia collection.

Proceeds from the 2 photographs will go to the Love, Hope and Strength Foundation, founded by Mike and Jules Peters, helping the charity continue its life-saving work through cancer awareness, stem cell donor registration, and supporting people affected by cancer.

Tickets will be available throughout the weekend at merchandise stands. We wholeheartedly encourage you to take part in the raffle and perhaps own one of these remarkable photograph posters whilst helping out the L.H.S. foundation.

Tuesday August 4th 2026 at 12.15pm will see the very first live show from Dave Sharp and an all new 2026 line up of The Hard Travellers.

Dave and The Hard Travellers will make their debut appearance live onstage for an early lunchtime show at 12.15pm. at Club Viva in Blackpool to kick off celebrations for the 30th anniversary of the Rebellion Festival.

Dave will be performing material from his new forthcoming album Songbook with an 8 piece band of seasoned musicians along with material from his two solo albums Hard Travellin and Downtown America.

On the drums will be Dan Fern, on loan from Dio Studios in Stockport Manchester, on guitar will be Scott Poley who has worked on studio material with Dave during recent years.

For the first time Dave will include backing vocalists Rosie Douglas, Clair Morel and Zoe Kyoti whose collective influences range from Ray Charles to Steely Dan.

On keyboards will be Harry Richards who takes time out from his own band Plastic Plant. He is joined by Andy Patterson on bass to complete the all new line up of Dave Sharp and The Hard Travellers.

This is sure to be an event you will not want to miss.

Dave Sharp is currently in rehearsals with an all new line up of The Hard Travellers for his upcoming live shows in August.

The new band features musicians Dan Fern Drums, Andy Pattison Bass, Scott Poley Guitars and Harry Richards on Keyboards. In addition the band also features vocalists Rosie Douglas, Claire Morel and Zoe Kyoti who all performed in the studio with Dave on his upcoming studio album.

The all new line up of Dave Sharp and the Hard Travellers will play their debut show at the Rebellion Festival Run Up on Tuesday August 4th and will feature songs from his forthcoming album, Songbook.
