January 2012 - Happy 2012!

Happy New Year from all of us here at DaveSharp.org with very best wishes for a great year ahead in 2012.

We’d like to say a huge thanks to everyone who came out to support Dave’s shows throughout the past year up and down the UK….it was a very busy schedule with album recording between dates.

We’d like to take this opportunity to welcome all you new supporters who’ve been checking in with us here at the site… Dave is certainly looking forward to seeing you all out on the road in 2012.

The new year is shaping up to be very busy indeed with a relentless run of live dates kicking off this January which will take in the South East, South Wales, the North West and once again an extensive run of shows in Scotland.

For those of you planning to be in or around the Manchester area at the end of January we’d like to remind you of a special show at The Angel in Manchester city centre on Thurs 26th January. This show will be promoted by Manchester’s newest music/art collective “City-Folk.” Dave will perform a full solo acoustic set and will be joined on the bill by some of Manchester’s finest poets and musicians. There will be food laid on and there’s no cover….

“City-Folk” is a collective which sets out to promote music/art which prefers to operate outside the umbrella of the Corporate mainstream and is planning events at multiple venues around Manchester…Definitely something to watch for in 2012…..

Dave’s new album is finaly nearing completion and a tentative release schedule is likely to be announced sometime around March….

Once again we’d like to thank both new supporters and old for continuing to follow Dave’s journey and we hope to see you all out on the road in 2012…

Travel easy and be safe.
Happy New Year

October 2011 - FULL ELECTRIC BAND SHOWS--ERIC'S EXCLUSIVE--ALBUM NEWS

With Dave's new album in its final weeks of completion, we're very proud to announce an exclusive electric band show at the recently re-opened legendary Eric's Club in Liverpool.

Eric's Club, at the forefront of the British Punk scene, has recently been re-launched and re-opened. As part of the re-launch festivities, Dave is honoured and proud to have been asked to perform a special show with a full electric band (see dates list for ticket prices and details). Coming at a time when Dave's new album is well on the way to being completed, he will be taking this wonderful opportunity to preview album material with a band featuring musicians who've worked on the album recordings.

This is a MUST-SEE SHOW! It is highly adviseable to pre-book tickets which are available on all of the usual ticket outlets (Ticketmaster, etc) and from the venue itself. DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW!

In early November Dave travels to Chelmsford to play a Hooga show which takes place at The Barhouse. Dave has been invited to play Hooga by Chelmsford's own "Sloe Gin" who will also be performing on the bill. "Sloe Gin" will open the show and then join Dave onstage later in the evening to perform a selection of Dave's songs. More on this later.

It has been a busy Summer for Dave working on the new album between repeated tours of Scotland, England and Wales. The Album Sneak-Peek Show at Eric's Club certainly looks to be an excellent way to round out the Summer.

Dave passes his thanks to everyone who was able to get out to all the shows this Summer, and we look forward to seeing you all at Eric's Club.

Travel Easy.

4th Street singer Ali and guitarist Rhyl joined Dave onstage at the Rock and Fountain last week.
